WELCOME to the International Dance Academy Hollywood (IDA). We are a brand new dance studio located in the heart of Hollywood, just one block away from the world famous Kodak Theatre.
Our MISSION is to offer outstanding training in all areas of professional dance to beginners and professionals alike. IDA’s mission also includes an outreach program that endeavors to enrich the lives of young adults and senior members of the community through the art of dance.
Our facilities include five dance studios available for OPEN CLASSES, ranging from Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Fusion Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, African, Swing, Salsa and Belly Dance. IDA can also offer private RENTALS for production and/or individual needs.
Most of our TEACHERS are also choreographers and performers who have worked with Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Prince, Paula Abdul and Alicia Keys, to name only a few, and have been the winners of So You Think You Can Dance.
In response to many dancers’ summons, IDA also offers MONTHLY WORKSHOPS. These workshops provide an opportunity for famous choreographers and dancers to teach students at IDA. Check out our workshop schedule - our guest teachers may surprise you.
IDA also offers a YOUTH PROGRAM that is designed to offer dance classes that are more appropriate and inspirational for students who are 7 to 18 years of age. At IDA we take seriously the opportunity and obligation of assisting children in the development of athletic bodies, both from a growth and strength perspective. Strong and healthy bodies are important for all children, whether they aspire to work in the entertainment industry or not.
The SUMMER INTENSIVE program at IDA is available for 4 weeks every August. The SUMMER INTENSIVE program is designed for dancers who have desire to study multiple styles of dance from well-known choreographers and dancers in the Hollywood community during an intensive 4-week session.
IDA is a campus of Los Angeles’ CAMPUS HOLLYWOOD, also the parent company of Musician’s Institute, Hollywood Pop Academy, Theatre of Arts, EI (School of Professional Makeup), ESP Guitars, and Schecter Guitar Research.
